a 1.5-inch heel, a pointed toe, measured at 10 inches long, and 3 inches at the widest point.
Description
This pair of white leather, laced boots is dated circa 1890. They are double lined and made of kid leather. Inside the shoe is the label T.F. Pierce & Son, Providence. These shoemakers were in business during the mid-late 19th century and into the early 20th century.
Pointed toes on shoes were very characteristic of the late 1890s. These shoes were worn with a white satin wedding dress that was also donated to the Historic Textile and Costume Collection.
