Williams House
Elijah Williams (1744-1825) built this house in Providence in 1795. His son Jason Williams (1774-1863) acquired it when his father moved to upstate New York. Jason's daughter Susan (1813-1902) grew up in this house and returned here from Charleston, South Carolina, along wiith her daughter Emily (1836-1926). After Susan passed away Emily lived in the house until 1917, after which she moved in with Franklin Cushman. Brown University's Littlefield Hall was buiilt on this site in 1925.
